Very close to home, every first
weekend of September ,
Besalu goes back in time one thousand years to transform the historic center of
the town into a unique scenario where fantasy and history transport visitors to
the county town of Besalu.
The architectural and historical value of the
town make it one of the most important medieval complexes of Catalonia and for
two days, the streets, the people, the shops, the buildings, the river walk,
the walls , squares and corners cannot escape the influence of the Medieval
Fair.
This event has become one of the most important meetings for thousands
of visitors who annually come to Besalu to enjoy its màgic. As we could not be
less, this Sunday I went there for a walk.
